
EVAULT APPOINTS TONY BARBAGALLO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETINGEmeryville, Calif. – January 10, 2005 – EVault, Inc., the leading provider of online backup and recovery solutions, today announced the appointment of Tony Barbagallo as senior vice president of marketing. In this role, Barbagallo will oversee EVault’s strategic marketing and product management in support of the company’s global, multi-channel sales teams. Barbagallo joins EVault with more than 20 years of strategic marketing and selling experience. He most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing for Dantz Development where he oversaw the return of the company to profitability and subsequent acquisition by EMC. Prior to that, Barbagallo was group marketing and business development manager at Microsoft, where he led the product marketing and partner alliance programs for the Windows CE operating system and tools. Prior to Microsoft, he served as vice president of marketing at VXtreme, a developer of Internet streaming media technology. Barbagallo has also held a variety of marketing and sales positions with Mentor Graphics, Wind River, Sun Microsystems and General Electric. “I welcome the extensive experience and astute vision of the backup and recovery space that Tony brings to us,” said EVault president and CEO Phil Gilmour. “He will fulfill a strategic role in driving marketing and product development initiatives critical to expanding EVault’s reach.” Barbagallo holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Syracuse University and has also completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University. |
